Eva MacKenzie is a strong and intelligent graduate in Fashion Design and Development, drawing inspiration from human emotion, avant‑garde designers, and her Scottish heritage to cultivate a beautiful and unique design style.
Using unconventional materials, she has created a range of captivating pieces for her graduate collection. By draping fabrics on a stand and translating these into patterns, Eva explores artisanal practices and techniques to craft a bespoke collection that provokes emotion.
During her BA (Hons) in Fashion Design and Development, Eva completed a Diploma in Professional Studies (DiPS) year at a clothing company in New York City. There, she gained a deep understanding of fashion business, supply chains, and sustainability management. With her excellent communication, collaboration, and dedication, she has now begun to build her own brand, “Angéline.”

Monachopsis
Monachopsis: a quiet ache in feeling out of place.
‘Monachopsis’ represents a personal experience of constant surveillance, imposter syndrome and distortion of identity.
The clothing conveys this sentiment of having to rebuild, destruct and build again, shapes warping and appearing in unlikely places with complex fabrics and distorted structures.
Each piece iterates identity armour, coupled with undercurrents of fear, strength, sadness and the cyclical act of repetition; juxtaposing softness and harshness in the veins of the seams.
Angéline has created a collection to open discussions of silent discomfort, vulnerability, haunting darkness and discovery of self.
In destruction,
beauty is
found.
